My name is Jung Shan. I am an illustrator and graphic designer specializing in portrait creations.  I am originally from Taiwan and I received my MA of graphic design at Northumbria University, UK in 2009.

After school, I returned to Taiwan and started to work both in an animation and game company, but I now live in Austin, Texas with my husband and son.

I worked nearly two years as an in-house Texture artist in an animation company, CGCG Inc. which is a professional company in the animation industry in Taiwan.  Most of the clients for CGCG Inc. are from Hollywood famous studios such as Lucas Film and Dreamworks.  In my service in this company, I focused on the Clone War project most of the time.

Later on, I worked in two game companies, Magician Technology Inc.and Brogent Technologies Inc. In this time I continued to design digital contents such as game UI, concept art and CIS. In addition, I worked closely with clients and gave art direction and feedback.

In 2017, I moved to the State with my husband and started to focus on developing my own illustration style. I love to observe people’s faces and focus on portrait painting and character illustration. I have several drawing styles, cute and geometrical composition, organic and stylish drawing and realistic portrait painting with strong brush strokes style.

Looking forward to using my style to create more fun and joyful portrait illustrations and tell different stories behind the faces to my viewers.
