Every so often, Risolve will release a free color profile for artists and designers to use when creating Riso prints of their photography and flattened artwork! 

Color profiles are used to color separate images into specific Riso ink colors automatically. With a couple clicks your images will be separated and ready to take to print.

December 2020's profile is Scarlet, Mint, and Black.

How to use

If you are Riso printing with this profile yourself, please take note: This profile does not have any curve corrections built into it to account for the type of paper you are printing on. It is made as a general purpose profile and will need to be tested on the paper you intend to print with.

You’ll then need to adjust the curves on each channel as needed. For example, if you are printing in a small dot dither like “grain touch” on vellum paper, you may need a good curve correction on each channel or your print will come out much darker than what you see on screen.
