About the artist

Jovaney Hollingsworth

Minneapolis, Minnesota

I was born in the islands of the Bahamas and lived there until my late teens before moving to America. I didn't realize at the time how being surrounded by the brilliant bright colors of the Caribbean region would later play a huge part in my illustrative work.

I took my bright color palette and turned it into a successful career as a graphic designer. When I can I love to embed my knowledge of graphic design into my illustrations. The incorporation of bold colors, shapes and typography, can playfully be seen intertwining throughout my work. I love creating illustrations with overlapping shapes, collage scraps and textures. I like allowing these elements to collide with the illustration, creating "beautiful accidents".
