About the artist
Austin Page
Los Angeles, CA
Originally from Orange, California, Austin graduated from Chapman University's Dodge College of Film and Media Arts with a degree in Film and Digital Art.
Now living in Los Angeles, Austin works in the entertainment industry for studios such as Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Netflix and Bento Box, and creates independent short films as part of the filmmaking group The Trimira Collective, of which he is a founding member and Creative Director.
Most of Austin's biggest artistic and musical influences were involved in the psychedelic scene of the '60s and 70's. Homages to films such as Hausu, artists such as Keiichi Tanaami, and musicians such as Stevie Wonder can be found all through Austin's body of artistic works which often feature a mix of live-action, animation, humor, horror and funk. His film Dissection of a Rose (2018) won “best experimental short film” at the New York Psychedelic Film Festival as well as Humboldt Int’l Film Festival, and received honorable mention at Fargo Film Festival in 2019.
Currently he is working on his latest film Food for Thought! With Dorris Jibbler, aiming for a Fall 2023 premiere, and will be submitted to the festival circuit.
